Food cans are manufactured from steel, and drink cans from all aluminium (they were tin-plate steel and aluminium until 2014).

 

Aluminium has the highest value of all materials recycled in South Africa, as it is infinitely recyclable. If we received a steady stream of aluminium cans, we'd easily be able to cover our costs.

Please rinse all food cans and drinks cans before you give them to us. Please keep all ring pulls and lids attached. Removal means there is a greater change of becoming litter.

Aerosol cans - we accept all types; please ensure they are completely empty before being recycled, and do not pierce them.

​

Tinfoil - we accept tinfoil sheet and food trays. They must be clean and free from food contamination.
